  • People: Move and forget where they stored their documents.
  • Courts: Treat e-wills not held by QCs as Lost wills.

Many people think their will is safe, but:

If your will isn’t easily accessible and legally protected, your loved ones could face unnecessary stress, legal battles, and financial loss.

What if I need to update my will?

Updating your will is as simple as esigning your new documents with Vandemir. If you add information to your will, such as a Codicil, you may add the document to an existing will repository record for no additional fee. There is also no fee to withdraw your will from the repository. However, if you deposit a new will later, you must pay another $20.00 fee.

Can I transfer my will to Vandemir?

Yes. You can transfer your will from QC-to-QC (Qualified Custodian), where the current custodian directly transfers the will to the new custodian. We'll give you a credit to your Vandemir account, up to $75, when you provide us with a receipt of any fees your current Qualified Custodian charged for the transfer.

Can I store my other estate planning documents?

Yes. Vandemir offers a document add-on, which is free for the first year, and $2 per month after that–paid yearly. This plan is designed to hold up to five additional estate planning documents. However, if you need more documents, please don’t hesitate to send us a request.

Currently, we’ll accommodate any client who makes a request for few additional estate planning documents, but this may change in the future.
